Trey's 27th Birthday

Trey's birthday celebration started off on his actual birthday when I made him the most delicious Monster cookies. I think these are my new favorite cookie!
I had never made them before, but I thought his birthday would be a good excuse to try them!
Here is the recipe if you'd like to try them.

Later on, we celebrated with presents!
I was going to make this delicious chocolate peanut butter cake, but I decided it would be too detrimental and Trey doesn't care about cake anyway! So, no cake this year.

Pretty presents
Fiona always gives him a card, too. (Yes, I realize the absurdity of this.) She always gets a cheesy card with a dog on it. This was her pick this year. (Who would ever give these cards for real?)
New shirt
Foo Fighters and a sampler cd
I gave Trey a record player for Christmas, so I got him some new records.
Sufjan Stevens, so good!
And Bon Iver-so good, too!
More shirts

It was a pretty good birthday!

After presents, we went to eat some delicious pizza at Hideaway, our favorite!
That night we went to see Horrible Bosses. That movie was HILARIOUS.

The next day we went to Dallas for the day. We went to the JFK Museum. No pictures were allowed inside. Here is the Texas School Book Depository, where Lee Harvey Oswald supposedly shot JFK from.
The window is on the top right.

This is the grassy knoll.
You can see Elm street (where the white car is), where President Kennedy's motorcade was driving.

Dealey Plaza

We walked around downtown briefly. It was SO hot.
I liked this building.
We had seen this restaurant on Food Network before, so we had to take pics. We didn't eat there!
Heart Attack Grill-Do you see the signs on it?
See where it says "Over 350 lbs? Eat for Free!" So sick. And the waitresses are called nurses and wear nurse uniforms.
Downtown Dallas

I'm sure this won't come as a surprise, but we ate at Chuy's! And it was fabulous! It was the neatest Chuy's, too. We had their awesome swirl margaritas while we waited for our table. I was so excited to be reunited with their delicious salsa and creamy jalapeno dip. We split fajitas and tres leches cake. Their food is just perfect. It was the perfect birthday meal!
We tried to take some pics outside, but they turned out too dark and grainy.
It was a fabulous birthday celebration!
