iPhone Dump

I have been horrible about taking "real" pictures with a "real" camera the past couple of months. Which is also why my blogging has been slacking. So, I thought I'd catch up with an iPhone dump of pictures from January and February.

I hosted bunco in January. We had a breakfast theme-pajamas and breakfast food. Unfortunately, I only snapped two pics before everything was set up. But we ended up having pigs in a blanket, mini quiche, sausage balls, french toast bake, yogurt parfaits, and orange juice. It was yummy!

I've also been doing Couch to 5k and the Shred, though the last two weeks have been so busy that I've not done a good job with either!
What I look like after running...bright red.
I've been making lots of homemade pizzas the past couple of months. It's become a weekend tradition. They are so good, too!
One night I decided to make semi-homemade garlic knots to go with the pizza. Oh my, they were so good.

I have the sweetest husband in the WORLD. Like, I can't even put into words how awesome he is! On Valentine's morning I woke up to find a bunch of notes throughout the kitchen. He knew I'd find them while getting ready before school. SO sweet. Here are a couple of them (that I can share ;).
We do love Diet Coke a LOT.
I couldn't resist this shirt at Target. :) (It's Edward from Twilight, if you didn't know!)
I was cuddling with Fi after school one day and decided to snap some pics of the sweet girl. I love her so much.

I had the day off today because we had conferences on Monday and Thursday. So, I went to get my hair highlighted. Here I am sitting under the dryer with foil in my hair.
And the finished product! I had her do waves this time, instead of my usual straightened hair. I like it!

Oh, and I found this cute chevron purse at Ross today. I am in love with it.
I also redesigned my blog, so come check it out! :)

Valentine's Weekend (Eat Fest)

Valentine's day celebrating has been low key this year!

On Friday, my class had their Valentine's party. We made ice cream sundaes and goodie bags. The kids loved it. They also gave me quite a bit of goodies!
I picked up a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's on Friday for dinner. We love Papa Murphy's!

On Saturday morning, I made a little sweet treat for us-chocolate chip banana muffins. They were SOOO good.

For dinner Saturday night, I made breaded shrimp from Skinny Taste and pasta. It was delicious.

Now, I'm just hoping for a snow day tomorrow.

What I've Read...

I really want to read more this year, so I want to document what I do read!

So, in the month of January I read three books.
Th Hunger Games
Catching Fire
Mockingjay
Obviously, I loved all three and cannot wait for the movie.

I'm trying to decide what to read next. I really love reading a series of books. I know a lot of people read Divergent or Matched after reading The Hunger Games. I'm trying to decide if I want another dystopian book. If you know of a good series, let me know!

Valentine's Wreath and Decorations

So, you know I love making wreaths for every occasion. Surprisingly, I didn't have a Valentine wreath. I had to fix that! So, I waited for all of these things to be on sale at Hobby Lobby and snatched them up.
I got two rolls of red mesh and two rolls of pink mesh. (I actually only used 1 roll of each color.) I also got regular red ribbon, a wreath, and floral pins.
I wrapped the red ribbon around the wreath first, so the wood color of the wreath wouldn't show. Then I just swooped and puffed the mesh around and pinned it. Once I was satisfied with it, I attached a heart wreath that I had gotten from Target last year.

Here's the finished wreath! I LOVE it.

I also put a few lovey-dovey touches throughout the house for Valentine's Day.

Pink flowers in the foyer...

The table is set with Valentine's placemats and plates. I put my pink cake plate in the middle with some Valentine's blocks from Target last year.

Towels from Target
Heart chargers on display

And just little touches on the mantel...

Candy hearts, pink mesh, and red ribbon fill some of the apothecary jars.

And a little pink and red heart in the middle
I love the way the candy hearts look!

And to be honest, this is what the full shot looks like! The treadmill is now a permanent fixture in the living room!
Happy Valentine's Day!
